A liveaboard in the Caribbean is one of the most best ways to experience the range of world-class scuba diving that the Caribbean has to offer. Warm water, calm seas, excellent visibility and short travel distances between dive sites make the region ideal for both experienced divers and those newer to liveaboard diving. From coral reefs and dramatic wall dives to shipwrecks, shark encounters and even whales, Caribbean liveaboards offer a wide variety of diving across the many countries and islands of this vast area.
Liveaboards operate throughout much of the Caribbean, in particular around the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Cayman Islands, Belize, Roatan and the Eastern Caribbean. More specialised trips to swim with whales are also offered in the Dominic Republic. These itineraries allow divers to reach remote reefs and protected marine parks that are difficult or impossible to access on day boats, while enjoying multiple dives each day - making a liveaboard the ideal choice to truly experience the Caribbean at its best.

Choosing the Right Liveaboard in the Caribbean
Choosing the right Caribbean liveaboard depends largely on the type of diving you’re looking for and the level of comfort you prefer on board - as well as the islands you’d like to visit of course. Some liveaboards focus on big animal encounters, particularly sharks, while others prioritise coral reefs, wall and wreck diving. The Caribbean also offers a wide range of vessels, from smaller sailing yachts to modern, purpose-built motor liveaboards with spacious cabins and greater comfort. Cabin layout, group size, included amenities such as nitrox, and how many guided dives are offered are also important considerations when choosing a vessel.
Get in touch with one of ZuBlu's experienced travel team if you need some help choosing - we will happily recommend the ideal liveaboard.
