Vessel information
Meaning ‘King of the Sea’, the M/Y Emperor Raja Laut is a striking luxury schooner, built in the tradition of the 19th century Baltic traders. With this regal vessel’s classy interior spaces and breezy open-air decks designed to give a sense of freedom, you’ll enjoy luxurious comfort while cruising Indonesia’s world-renowned dive destinations of Komodo, Raja Ampat, Banda, Flores and Alor. From the dive deck and two tenders, you can explore this epicentre of biodiversity - home to sharks, mantas and more. Plus, land excursions complete the experience, from trekking, hiking and cultural visits, to tempting beach BBQs.
Emperor Raja Laut - along with its sibling, Emperor Harmoni - is part of the Emperor Indonesia fleet that offers year-round luxury liveaboard trips to remote Indonesian destinations. From June to September guests can enjoy thrilling diving in Komodo National Park, exploring the likes of Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and Manta Alley in search of the Komodo dragon, manta rays, sharks and more. In November, these exclusive vessels head to Raja Ampat - the epicentre of marine biodiversity. Plus, a limited number of trips include the Banda Islands’ seldom-dived sites with the chance to see hammerheads, active volcanoes, bizarre macro critters and more.
Onboard Raja Laut
Emperor Raja Laut comfortably accommodates 12 guests in six beautifully-decorated rich timber cabins on the lower deck. On the same level, there’s a stylish air-conditioned saloon with large sofas, a 49-inch flatscreen TV, movie and book library, and selection of board games. Head to the beautiful teak upper sun deck and you’ll find comfy beds for sunbathing, as well as a central dining table where local and international dishes are served alfresco under a shady canopy. Plus, indoor dining is also available in a separate air-conditioned dining area.
Diving from Raja Laut
Diving is made easy with two large tenders to ferry you to and from dive sites. Guests can rent gear if needed, and best of all - nitrox is free of charge. With the vessel’s two dive guides boasting a wealth of experience in this epicentre of biodiversity, your exploration of Raja Ampat, Komodo and the Banda Sea will be something to remember. Plus, it's not all about diving - guests can enjoy some downtime with kayaks, a banana boat, waterskiing, wakeboarding and snorkeling. There are also land excursions available on each trip, including hiking, trekking, cultural visits and a beach BBQ.
