Vessel

Vessel information

Built in 2019, Del Agos is a 25-metre traditional Filipino banca offering trips lasting three to six days around the protected Apo Reef and the wrecks of Coron. This vessel’s local design makes it well-suited to traversing this area, with the streamlined hull and outrigger bringing stability in open water, and the low draft enabling access to shallow straits. Del Agos welcomes 12 guests in either private double cabin or dormitory-style accommodation. And, while Del Agos may not be the most luxurious vessel, it has everything a dedicated diver could need to stay comfortable during their trip.

Agoscuba, the operator behind this liveaboard, is passionate about providing the highest standards in customer service, along with an authentic touch that you’ll struggle to find on larger, more extravagant vessels. The crew has been together for almost a decade, ensuring seamless service and daily operations that run like clockwork. Agoscuba is committed to providing guests with memorable experiences that are safe, hospitable and fun, maintaining high levels of professionalism throughout all of their operations. The team also strives to promote sustainability whilst both supporting and serving the local community with the highest ethical standards.

Onboard Del Agos

Whilst on board, Del Agos’ 12 guests are accommodated in one eight-bed dormitory and two additional double beds in a shared space below. Despite its size, this vessel features a well equipped kitchen where the resident chef creates plentiful meals to keep divers well fed. During surface intervals, guests will spend most of their time on the top deck, which offers space to chill out in the sun or shade. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are also available, enabling self-guided exploration of the surrounding coastline.

Diving from Del Agos

Itineraries typically plan 3-4 dives each day, including a night dive, which can usually be done directly from the main boat. A six-metre chase boat is also on hand, though this is primarily for embarking and disembarking the vessel. For divers looking to travel light, rental gear can be arranged and provided on board. With prior notice, it is also possible to take an Advanced Open Water course during your trip.

Top tips

  • It is possible to take an Advanced Open Water course during your trip. The team just needs your request in plenty of time so they can acquire the instructor for you.
  • This vessel’s crew speak English and Tagalog, but may be able to obtain a translator upon request, so your needs do not go unheard.
  • Remember to bring your dive computer from home, they are not included in the rental gear package.
