About Cinnamon Velifushi

Cinnamon Velifushi is a stunning tropical island resort located in Vaavu Atoll, surrounded by beautiful wide sandy beaches. Vaavu is the least populated atoll in the Maldives and lies just an hours speedboat ride from Male, making it a fantastic choice for a convenient paradise island escape. Cinnamon’s dive centre is run by Dive and Sail, and benefits from their many years of experience providing exceptional dive trips within the Maldives. The island of Velifushi is well-placed for all of the atoll’s best dive sites and offers easy access to Vaavu’s renowned channel dive sites for exciting full-day trips. An impressive range of watersports are also offered by the dive centre including windsurfing, kayaking, water skiing, wakeboarding, and parasailing.

Cinnamon Velifushi boasts an array of bars and restaurants which are perfectly designed and well-equipped to cater to any occasion. The main restaurant, Vah, serves a variety of local and international cuisine in an al-fresco setting while the Vah Lounge, located above, offers a relaxed atmosphere and great music. Open for lunch and dinner only, the Marlin restaurant serves light snacks alongside its signature seafood menu. For those who like to party until the early hours, Hama Rhythmic Bar provides good music, fun cocktails, and a great atmosphere, while Velifushi’s beach bar, Iru, is the perfect place to relax with a drink or a signature gelato.

Mandara Spa at Velifushi is located in a beautiful over-water villa with a dramatic ocean backdrop, offering intimate and luxurious treatments with high levels of personal service. The resort’s arching swimming pool takes pride of place on one side of the resort, surrounded by a wide sandy beach and plenty of sun loungers, creating the perfect place to soak up the sun. Guests also have access to the gym and fitness centre, as well as sports such as volleyball, tennis, futsal, and water sports. Indoor games include table tennis, billiards, and table-football, while the more adventurous can take part in a long list of excursions.

Diving from Cinnamon Velifushi

Run by Dive and Sail, Velifushi’s dive centre offers a variety of daily dive excursions such as 1 or 2-tank dive trips, full-day trips to more distant sites, and night dives. Full rental equipment is available including dive computers and torches, and half or full-day camera rental can also be arranged. Guests can take part in a range of PADI courses, from beginner to divemaster, including a variety of specialities. The dive centre also offers an array of other watersports such as windsurfing, sailing, fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, water skiing, wakeboarding, and parasailing.
