About Vaali Beach Lodge
Located a boat ride away from Male International Airport - yet far from the paved street, noisy vehicles and high-rise buildings - Vaali Beach Lodge offers a unique and unspoilt experience. Measuring just 500 metres across, Felidhoo is one of the country’s least populated islands, offering guests the opportunity to experience a true Maldivian getaway and connect with tropical nature and friendly local people. Since opening its doors in 2014, this delightful guesthouse has become a refuge for independent travellers wanting a personal and romantic jumping-off-point for exploring the delights of the southern Maldives.
Nestled on the corner of the island, Vaali Beach Lodge began life as a private beach-front holiday home. Driven by the love of hospitality, the owners decided to share their small piece of paradise with travelers, loved ones, family and friends in a peaceful laid-back atmosphere. Expanding from a three-room residence, Vaali Beach Lodge now offers all the charm of a boutique hotel, with all the character, love, and care of a family home. Here, guests can set the rhythm of their own holiday – completely disconnect from the daily routine and reconnect with nature or be adventurous and embark on epic voyages of discovery.
Explore the resort
Located at the heart of the lodge, the Fenda Lounge is a relaxed space designed in a contemporary yet casual style. It comes with a separate outdoor dining and reception area where guests can gather to have a chat and meet with other guests. Buffet meals are served in an alfresco environment, with a focus on home-made Maldivian, Western and Asian cuisine. Flavours are created using seasonal, locally produced ingredients, including some harvested from the resort’s own small organic garden. Fenda Lounge’s calm atmosphere makes it perfect for informal meetings, morning coffee, afternoon tea or a leisurely drink at the end of the day.
Everyone has a different idea about what makes the perfect holiday, and Vaali Beach Lodge offers a variety of ways to spend your day, depending on your mood and preferences. Guests can take a guided snorkelling tour of the house reef, right in front of the lodge, or embark on a fishing or dolphin watching adventure. Island hopping trips and picnics on secluded sandbanks can also be arranged.
