Red Sea Explorer is a five-star dive safari liveaboard delivering week-long voyages to the best dive destinations in the Egyptian Red Sea. Run by Extra Divers, an experienced outfit who have been operating in the region for 25-years, this lavish liveaboard guarantees maximum quality and comfort, whether above the water or below. And, with a variety of cabin options, including an enormous royal suite, guests can select the level of luxury they desire.

Red Sea Explorer is part of Extra Divers – a well-respected worldwide dive operator which opened its very first centre on the shores of the Red Sea over 25 years ago. Constructed in 2019, this modern liveaboard offers trips to the best dive sites in the Red Sea. At 43-metres long, this steel-hulled vessel is specially designed to afford guests maximum space, comfort, quality and safety. Red Sea Explorer is equipped with the very best facilities throughout, setting new standards within the industry and providing guests with a marvellous experience from start to finish.
This dive liveaboard accommodates a maximum of 24 guests in 12 double or twin cabins, spread throughout the lower, main, and upper decks – including a lavish royal suite with a king bed, panoramic views, and private terrace. Each of Red Sea Explorer’s itineraries last for seven-nights and visit the top dive sites of either Egypt’s northern or southern Red Sea.
Onboard Red Sea Explorer
Whilst aboard the Red Sea Explorer, tasty meals are served buffet style three times a day, with afternoon snacks and refreshments also included in the price. Local wines, beers, specialty coffee and canned drinks are available for an additional fee. The vessel’s air-conditioned restaurant is located on the main deck, along with a comfortable lounge space featuring a TV. On the upper deck, guests will find a luxurious outdoor lounge, offering multiple polished wood tables, while the top deck provides yet more space for al-fresco living and is furnished with comfortable sun loungers.
Diving from Red Sea Explorer
This floating five-star resort is dedicated to the demands and expectations of scuba divers. Red Sea Explorer’s spacious diving deck provides fresh water rinse tanks, fresh water showers, toilets, plenty of storage space for dive equipment, and a camera table. And, nitrox is free for certified divers. A safari on this liveaboard leaves nothing to be desired. Between three and four dives are offered each day, including night dives where possible. Diving is either done directly from the dive platform or from one of the two spacious six-metre zodiacs.
Top tips
- Wi-Fi is included in the price, but the signal strength depends on the route and the location of the vessel.
- If you wish to dive using a sidemount setup, you will need to bring your own rigging set and hire a second tank.
