The 36-metre M/Y Contessa is a sleek dive yacht offering luxury yet affordable liveaboard trips to some of the best destinations in the Red Sea. This bright modern boat is rebreather-friendly, and boasts an impressive dive deck, two speedy tenders and free nitrox to make exploring this world-famous destination a breeze. Plus, photographers will love the designated onboard camera facilities. Contessa’s modern saloon, lavish sun deck and cosy cabins are all you’ll need to relax between exploring the top reefs and wrecks of this iconic region - including the Brothers, Elphinstone, Daedalus, Salem, and the Straits of Tiran. Throw in the dedicated, highly experienced team, and you’ll enjoy a five-star experience both above and below the surface.
Contessa is part of the luxurious Sea Serpent Fleet, that includes Glory, Excellence, Serena, Sea Serpent and the Sea Serpent Grand. Operating since 1989, the Sea Serpent Fleet have taken thousands of divers to explore the top dive sites in the Red Sea. And, with plenty of exciting itineraries - including the spectacular “North and Wrecks” route - divers can choose from specialised trips that are perfect for everyone - no matter what style of diving they prefer.
Onboard Contessa Sea Serpent
Up to 24 guests are accommodated on board in 12 modern air-conditioned cabins. Local and international buffet spreads are served in the upper deck’s stylish dining area complete with 360-degree ocean views. An air-conditioned saloon featuring comfy sofas and an entertainment system is connected to the dining area, and a second large saloon offers another place to relax with a post-dive drink. Outside, the partially-covered sun deck is the ideal spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail, while the top deck is the ultimate tanning spot for sun-worshippers.
Diving from Contessa Sea Serpent
The meticulously-designed dive deck is notably large, boasting a dive platform and plenty of room for gear and kitting up. For ease of diving, two speedy tenders accompany Contessa to ferry divers to and from sites with minimal effort. Full equipment rental is available with prior notice, and best of all, certified divers can enjoy free nitrox. This superb dive boat is also equipped for tec divers, including rebreather support. To top it all off, underwater photographers are well-catered for with charging stations and separate rinse tanks for cameras.
Top tips
- For the perfect combination of wreck and reef diving, opt for the “North and Wrecks” itinerary
- Choose the Fury Shoals itinerary for huge walls and good chances of encountering spinner dolphins and hammerhead sharks.
- Get your nitrox certification before your trip to take advantage of complimentary nitrox on board.
- Rental gear is available, however, guests are kindly requested to reserve all equipment in advance.
