Papua Paradise Eco Resort was built with the environment in mind and employs sustainable business practices whenever possible. The resort relies entirely on natural cooling and fans, rather than using air conditioning, and recycles as much plastic, organic and chemical waste as possible. Papua Paradise has developed close ties with local villages and buys much of its produce locally – especially fish. It also funds a foundation to support local villagers, providing medical supplies and basic medical education to combat common diseases. The resort also supports the work of multiple conservation groups studying the manta rays, dugongs, and various whale species of Raja Ampat.
