Vessel information
Horizon III is a top-quality twin engine yacht that sits among the most respected dive liveaboards in the Maldives. At 36-metres long, and with all the dive equipment on an accompanying 20-metre tender, this vessel comfortably accommodates up to 24 divers in 12 cabins without feeling crowded.
The award-winning crew has been working together on board for many years, and it shows. With streamlined dive operations and customer service that is second to none, it’s easy to see why an impressive 65% of Horizon III’s guests are repeat bookers - perhaps one of the most reliable insights into the quality of this vessel.
Horizon III offers both scheduled and chartered week-long voyages throughout the central atolls, moving south to dive with up to ten different species of shark between December and April. Itineraries aim to escape the crowds while still diving some of the very best sites in the Maldives, often encountering iconic animals such as manta rays, whale sharks and turtles.

The interior design on board Horizon III is light, comfortable and clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Guests will find the restaurant and bar towards the front of the service deck, where daily buffets of Western and local food will be served, along with draught beer and a comprehensive drinks menu. An indoor lounge area furnished with comfortable seating and a TV is located towards the rear of the service deck. Diving from Horizon III
Diving is done from an accompanying 20-metre dhoni, ensuring more space on the main vessel. Operations are planned and conducted by four experienced dive masters, including at least one instructor, who speak a variety of languages to help with communication. Horizon III can supply rental equipment for guests hoping to travel light, and nitrox fills can be provided to certified divers at an additional cost.
