Calico Jack combines the ancient traditions of Sulawesi’s Bugis shipbuilders with the modernity and comfort of a luxury yacht. This traditional wooden Indonesian sailing boat was custom made specifically for diving, with a superb dive deck and camera facilities. The vessel provides effortless first-class liveaboard experiences throughout Komodo, Raja Ampat, Alor and the Banda Sea, with exciting non-diving activities and inland tours as well. A maximum of just ten guests are accommodated in five air conditioned, en-suite cabins, ensuring a peaceful and intimate atmosphere during every voyage. Spacious lounges, sumptuous sun decks and beautifully designed dining and bar areas encourage laid-back social interaction, while divers will love the convenient dive deck, camera facilities and custom-designed tenders. The passionate crew of eight, chosen for their expertise, put their heart and soul into every voyage. Onboard Calico Jack
Onboard Calico Jack, seasoned chefs craft delightful Asian fusion cuisine which guests will enjoy at the open-air dining table. Recent refurbishments include an updated bar area where food and drinks are served. The open-air salon is also found here, towards the bow of the boat, and is furnished with comfortable seating and a convenient canopy to create the ideal spot for socialising. Guests can also head to the upper deck to relax on a sun lounger and top up their tan. Between dives, Calico Jack offers a range of activities, including kayaking, snorkelling and stand-up paddleboarding, along with inland tours and beach activities.
Diving from Calico Jack
This vessel’s spacious, custom-built dive deck ensures maximum comfort for divers and comes equipped with multiple warm water showers for convenience. Photographers will appreciate the camera facilities with rinse tanks, charging stations and ample storage space for set-ups. Top quality rental equipment is available as well as nitrox, and for ease of diving, two dive tenders transport guests to and from dive sites. Experienced dive guides and instructors maintain the highest standards of safety with small groups of five guests per dive guide. The multilingual dive team have a wealth of knowledge and experience diving Indonesia’s world-famous sites, and are experts in critter spotting and showing guests an amazing time underwater and on land.

- Take an advanced certification before or during your trip. Many of Indonesia’s top dive sites have currents and depths that are better enjoyed by experienced divers!
- Many regions on Calico Jack’s itineraries are remote, so be sure to stock up on essentials like spare batteries and toiletries before your trip.
