The Reef-World Foundation have officially announced the winners of their coveted 2020 Green Fins Award and, incredibly, the results included a three-way tie for first place! Bubbles Dive Centre and Flora Bay Divers from Pulau Perhentian, and Tioman Dive Centre from Pulau Tioman, Malaysia, shared the limelight having all ranked as the Green Fins members with the lowest environmental impact.

"We’re thrilled to recognise Bubbles Dive Centre, Flora Bay Divers and Tioman Dive Centre as joint winners of the 2020 Green Fins Award. Competition between the Top 10 is always tight but the fact that there are three winners this year, when usually one centre takes the title, shows how much sustainability is being put at the forefront of the agenda across the dive industry.”- Chloe Harvey, Director of The Reef-World Foundation

Winners were selected from some 600 Green Fins members and judged against recent practices undertaken within the last 18 months. Examples of the efforts include switching from two-stroke to four-stroke boat engines, training local staff in environmental practices, and improving overall waste management.
