About Petit St Vincent
About Petit St Vincent
Petit St Vincent is a private island resort situated some 65-kilometres south of St Vincent and marking the southernmost point of St Vincent and the Grenadines. This 115-acre tropical paradise has been operating as an exclusive getaway for decades, gaining a loyal guest base and developing a highly desirable reputation along the way. In the same vein, Petit St Vincent was the first hotel in the Caribbean to become a member of the Leading Small Hotels of the World.
This impressive island resort has just 22 cottages and villas, promising barefoot luxury, discreet service, and complete privacy. One-bedroom villas are tucked away in secluded corners of the island – some can be found high on the hill with breathtaking views, while others are nestled on the beach under the shade of the palms. All of the resort’s two-bedroom villas sit directly on one of the best beaches in the Grenadines, surrounded by leafy, tropical gardens just footsteps away from the shoreline and offering uninterrupted views of the Atlantic.
Explore the resort
Petit St Vincent is a place for unforgettable dining experiences that celebrate ingredients grown, fished, and foraged from nearby lands and shores. The main pavilion restaurant provides a fresh take on fine dining, while the beach restaurant serves up sunset views and food for the soul. Stretching over the water’s edge, Goatee’s Bar features a traditional grass thatched roof, low-cushioned sofas, and round rattan loungers. Discerning guests will also appreciate Petit St Vincent’s wine cellar, stocked with over 6,000 Old World and New World wines, as well as an exclusive collection of champagne, barrel-aged rums, and a selection of world-famous whiskeys, cognacs, and gins.
Managed by a highly skilled team of therapists from Bali, the hillside spa is a tranquil hideaway that plays host to four open-air treatment rooms. Petit St Vincent also features two open-air yoga pavilions made with hardwood floors and thatched roofs. When it comes to fitness, guests can enjoy a full body workout thanks to the 20-station outdoor calisthenic fitness trail or perfect their serve on the floodlit tennis courts. For a slightly slower pace, it is possible to hike to the summit of Marni Hill or play a round of golf at the nearby 18-hole course. Petit St Vincent also offers a host of complimentary non-motorised water sports such as snorkelling, paddle boarding, windsurfing, and Hobie Cat, Sunfish, and Laser sailing.
Diving from Petit St Vincent
Petit St Vincent is home to a state-of-the-art PADI 5-Star dive centre owned and operated by Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of Jacques Cousteau. Occupying a waterfront position, this air-conditioned dive centre offers various one or two tank diving expeditions from the spacious twin engine dive boat and can provide equipment rental and nitrox fills if desired. Divers of all recreational levels can also undertake a full range of PADI certifications, with theory sessions delivered in onsite classrooms.
From this resort, guests can enjoy guided trips to some of the area’s best dive sites. The extremely healthy local reefs are home to colourful reef fish and a nice variety of macro life. Pelagics are also plentiful, alongside an abundance of rays including electric, eagle and Southern stingrays! Nurse sharks, Caribbean reef sharks, great barracuda, spiny lobsters, and sea turtles complete the mix of marine life.
Conservation
Conservation
Petit St Vincent is fully committed to making sure the planet is healthy for present and future generations. All of the power on the island is supplied by a soundproof, energy efficient diesel generator. It not only ensures our power supply stays reliable, but will always exceed demand.
Glass and metal containers are crushed and recycled, sometimes even transformed back into sand. The resort’s state-of-the-art reverse osmosis desalination plant processes ocean water to supply safe fresh water from every tap, while a water bottling plant allows Petit St Vincent to bottle its own drinking water into reusable glass bottles.
Most of the island's landscape is left to naturally evolve, however, the resort has spent time removing poisonous Manchineel trees and replacing them with banana, almond, papaya, and citrus trees. Fallen leaves, cut grass and seaweed provides natural fertiliser for the delicious organic produce grown on site.
