About Hai Tide Beach Resort
The Hai Tide Beach Resort is perfectly located on the stunning island of Nusa Lembongan and provides comfortable and modern accommodation at the edge of Mushroom Bay’s white sand beach. It has 18 traditionally-thatched two-storey lumbungs with an ensuite bathroom and balcony - some right on the beach and the others just a few steps back in a secluded garden. It also has three two bedroom pool villas each with a private pool and walled garden.
Staying at Hai Tide Beach Resort lets you relax, take your time and really enjoy what the resort has to offer, including great food at the Hai Bar and Grill and a huge range of land and water-based activities. The resort’s sister company, Bali Hai Diving Adventures operates a reputable PADI 5-Star dive centre right in the resort grounds - a great way to experience the best of Lembongan and Nusa Penida, or complete your Open Water course.
Explore the resort
The Hai Tide Beach Resort is very well set up for divers, non-divers, water sports fanatics and families alike. The Lumbung rooms and villas are very well equipped, comfortable and very stylish, whilst the Hai Bar and Grill serves fantastic food throughout the day. Non divers, divers with some spare time and families are particularly well catered for with access to all facilities of the resort as well as the Bali Hai pontoon moored out in the bay. Guests can go kayaking, snorkelling, head out to a surf break on a transfer boat, play beach volley ball and let the children blow off steam in the kids play area. The resort has a spa for massage and treatment, as well as baby sitting facilities so parents can relax in the evening, knowing their children are in safe hands.
Diving from Bali Hai
The team behind Hai Tide Beach Resort - Bali Hai - have been operating in Bali for over 20 years and have a 100% safety record, earning them a well-deserved reputation for high-standards and professionalism. The resort’s newly-built PADI 5-Star dive centre is set up with training in mind and has a dedicated three metre training pool and classroom, as well as modern and well-maintained dive equipment. The resort guarantees guide / guests and instructor / student ratios of four to one - so you can be sure of plenty of attention from the staff.
Conservation at Hai Tide Resort
The resort has a little-publicised commitment to making the resort as sustainable as possible. Hai Tide Beach Resort has stopped providing any single-use plastic bottles, straws and bags and encourages their guests to do the same. The company has installed a desalination and reverse osmosis system to produce its own fresh water and has invested in expensive but much more fuel-efficient four-stroke engines for all its boats - an often overlooked factor when considering the sustainability of a dive resort. Hai Tide Beach Resort also organises daily beach cleanups, monthly reef clean ups and an annual event aimed at educating local school children about the environment and sustainability. Lastly, the staff of the resort have begun work on a new artificial reef in Lembongan Bay.
Top tips
- Make sure you take a morning to visit the seaweed farm - a major part of life on Lembongan.
- The water is cold during mola mola season - a 5mm wetsuit is perfect.
- The sunset from the beach is incredible. Grab a cocktail and enjoy!
- Lembongan remains quite traditional away from the beach - ask at the resort about any ceremonies you can witness or even join.
