Vessel information
Galaxy Diver was built to the highest standards in order to minimise its carbon footprint and contribute to the conservation of the archipelago, without compromising on guests’ comfort and experience whilst on board. Renovated in 2022, Galaxy Diver boasts a stylish modern aesthetic with luxurious and inviting living areas and feature artworks to help set the scene. This 29-metre vessel now takes guests on once-in-a-lifetime trips throughout this remarkable destination, with exceptional service, cosy rooms, and exquisite cuisine to enhance each fascinating journey.
Offering both diving and naturalist voyages, this exclusive liveaboard allows both diving and non-diving guests to enjoy this one-of-a-kind destination - providing exhilarating interactions with impressive wildlife above and below the water. Each eight-day diving itinerary takes up to 14 guests to the most incredible diving sites in the Galapagos Islands and will allow guests to discover its unique underwater environment. Starting from Baltra, you’ll explore the distant dive sites of Darwin’s and Wolf islands, before looping back via Fernandina and Isabela, with the chance to trek ashore on Santiago and Santa Cruz. Naturalist cruises follow a different route and can accommodate up to 16 guests.
Onboard Galaxy Diver
Located on the main deck, the dining area provides the perfect setting for guests to enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared meal. To complement your meal, the bar offers a variety of the finest beverages, including local and international wines. Guests will also find a lounge located on the main deck, creating a comfortable space with a warm beverage station, an entertainment centre, multimedia library, books, and board games. On the upper deck, a stylish outdoor lounge provides a cosy observation area with lazy sofas, beverages, and bar service.
Diving from Galaxy Diver
Galaxy Diver’s extensive dive platform provides ample space for pre-dive preparation and post dive adulation, and features twin staircases for easy access to the two accompanying zodiacs. Each of the vessel’s two dive guides can oversee up to eight divers, but with just 14 guests onboard, groups tend to be slightly smaller. Full equipment rental is available on board this vessel, including torches, computers, 7mm full-length wetsuits, boots and hoods. And, suitable qualified divers can make the most of complementary nitrox fills, while those not qualified can choose to get nitrox certified on board.
