Diving from Carpe Diem
Carpe Diem is well equipped for dive trips, boasting a highly experienced and professional local dive team. Up to three divers per day are offered from the dedicated dive dhoni which is fitted with hot freshwater showers, a toilet, and camera rinse tanks. ScubaPro equipment is available to rent onboard, and tanks with both DIN and Int connections can be provided. Nitrox is also available for certified divers and is free during the low season. Open Water divers are welcome on board but are required to complete their PADI Advanced Open Water course before being allowed to fun dive. Many of the best dive sites on the itinerary, including shark and manta packed channels, can experience currents, which may need a certain level of experience!
Top tips
- For a unique experience, why not take advantage of the manta specialty course? What better way to learn more about these majestic creatures than diving alongside them?
- Pack extra essentials, like batteries, toiletries and sunscreen for your trip. The Maldives isn’t a great place for shopping, so you might find it difficult to stock up once you’re there.
- Bring an underwater camera to take snaps of colourful reefs, tropical fish and epic shark and manta ray action - all which have made the Maldives an iconic diving destination!
