Vessel information
Water and Wind is the only catamaran offering scuba diving trips in the Azores. Its interiors were entirely refitted in 2021, so guests can enjoy brand new everything, with modern design elements and a laid back style. This vessel hosts a maximum of eight guests, making it the ideal option for intimate adventures and chartered trips. When you aren't out exploring, get to know the crew and your fellow passengers, and try your hand at sailing - the captain is happy to give a lesson or two! This boat is also unique in its eco offerings, with silent and low emission sailing thanks to solar power and a wind generator.
All of this liveaboard's exciting itineraries include the best sites of Santa Maria and Sao Miguel in the Azores' - both above and below water. Your trip will include eight nights spent onboard, plus two nights on land with opportunities for hiking, coastal touring, and of course, diving and snorkelling. The islands offer craggy cliffs and coasts, volcanic calderas, and stunning hills of emerald green. While below the waves, discover rocky reefs and boulder fields, isolated seamounts, and the Azores’ signature marine life. This is the kind of trip where you'll always want to keep your camera handy - for stunning scenery and landscapes, and surprise encounters with epic wildlife.

Water and Wind also offers multiple common areas for rest and relaxation, with a modern salon and dining area, and comfortable shaded seating on the back deck. Each day, you'll enjoy three delicious meals as well as free-flow coffee, tea, and snacks. Beer and wine are sold once the day's explorations have concluded. This boat's homey interior and laid back social ambience is ideal for getting to know your fellow divers and crew.
Diving from Water and Wind
Water and Wind is perfectly equipped for multisport adventure, with a custom zodiac for high-speed coastal tours, trips ashore, and allowing divers to descend straight into the action. During every day of your cruise, two to three dives will be offered, in addition to land and sea-based tours. You can join as few or as many of these activities as you'd like - all led by expert guides. In some cases, snorkelling in the Azores is just as good as diving, with a chance to spot passing whales and dolphins, mobula rays, and even whale sharks. But, you likely won't want to miss a single dive here either - the region boasts beautiful and uncrowded sites rich with life!
