Partnered with Hurghada’s Sadko Diving Centre and sister liveaboard Sunshine, Sunlight makes it simple to combine your liveaboard safari with land-based scuba adventures. This vessel was completely updated in 2019, modernising its interiors, improving its dive facilities, and creating more spacious and open shared spaces for rest and relaxation. You’ll enjoy outstanding service, perfectly balanced with plenty of freedom underwater. Plus, delicious dining and drinking, and a cheap and cheerful ambience. Free WiFi is offered when in range, and Sunlight’s team is happy to help you plan transfers, private guiding, and additional experiences like CMAS dive courses and day trips based out of Hurghada.
This spacious and modern power yacht cruises Egypt’s north, central, and southern Red Sea with departures out of Hurghada and Port Ghalib. Sunlight’s eight-day itineraries include stops at the Red Sea’s most famous wrecks, reefs, and remote islands known for pelagic wildlife like sharks and colourful coral gardens. Different trips cater to divers of all skill levels, with northern itineraries suitable for newer underwater explorers, and some deep south adventures reserved for advanced and experienced guests with 50 logged dives or more. Private charters are also offered, allowing you to customise a multi-day scuba safari in your region of choice.
Onboard Sunlight
Sunlight’s middle deck is home to a roomy air-conditioned salon and dining room, where three meals a day are served, in addition to all-day snacks and drinks. This space is ideal for beating the midday heat with a divers’ library, entertainment centre, and comfortable banquette seating. Out back, a large terrace with cushioned seating in the sun and shade is ideal for al-fresco dining and enjoying a sunset cocktail or two. Head to the top deck and spread out in the sun or shade, with loungers, cushioned seating, and plenty of room for all.
Diving from Sunlight
This vessel offers easy, fuss-free diving, with a spacious shaded aft dive deck and two tenders. Depending on the day’s sites, you’ll enter and exit directly from Sunlight, or use these fast-moving inflatables to descend straight onto the region’s most exciting dive sites. Sunlight’s dive facilities include everything that you need for equipment care, with a camera station and separate rinse, charging points, individual equipment stations, and well-maintained rentals. Nitrox is free for qualified divers, and 15-litre tanks are also available, as is support for sidemount setups. Private guiding is also available for those who prefer a bit more assistance.
