Vessel information
Operated by Wakatobi Resort, Pelagian liveaboard is a luxurious, modern motor yacht promising opulent yet environmentally-conscious scuba diving voyages in the Wakatobi Biosphere Reserve. Venturing to remote and seldom-visited corners of the Tukang Besi Archipelago, guests aboard this vessel enjoy cruises of discovery and adventure, visiting distant reefs, verdant island lagoons, and fertile muck diving sites.
Accommodating a maximum of just 10 guests in five well-appointed cabins, this 36-metre liveaboard guarantees more space than almost any other dive yacht of its kind. Decked out with convenient facilities and homely comforts, this boutique floating hotel creates a wonderfully intimate setting that is certain to ignite your enthusiasm for adventure. And, while these waters are seriously secluded, guests will still feel pampered thanks to the crew’s discreet yet highly-personalised service and an array of exclusive amenities.
Pelagian is well-suited for divers and snorkelers of all skill levels, and is sure to satisfy the needs of first-time cruisers as well as seasoned dive travellers who appreciate value and excellence. Cruise itineraries usually last a week and are built around guests’ preferences, generally offering up to four 70-minute dives a day, including night dives. Each is a rewarding experience – from the mandarinfish at Magic Pier to the seamounts at Karang Kaledupa and the shrimp breeding grounds of Cheeky Beach at Pasar Wajo.
Onboard Pelagian
Pelagian liveaboard's refined dining area is complemented by an additional al-fresco entertainment area at the aft of the vessel, where breakfast is usually served and where a welcoming selection of hot drinks and the chef’s freshly prepared snacks will be awaiting you between dives. A la carte menus are offered for lunch and dinner, comprising a tasty selection of Indonesian specialties along with Western favourites. A selection of fine wines and spirits are available as well as soft drinks and juices. The spacious salon provides a comfortable and well-equipped social hub, complete with a large flatscreen TV, while the upstairs sundeck delivers plenty of additional space for relaxation.
Diving from Pelagian
Diving operations during Pelagian cruises are conducted from two custom-made five-metre tenders equipped with tank racks and secure stainless steel ladders. Guests can expect the vessel’s Dive Experience Managers and crew to handle all logistics of equipment and cameras, and provide full in-water support. Whilst onboard, underwater photographers will appreciate the well-equipped and spacious camera room which allows for untroubled preparation and care of cameras and housings. Nitrox fills are available on board and additional technical diving support can be provided with prior notice.

Conservation
This liveaboard is operated by Wakatobi Resort, an organisation that has earned a reputation as one of the world’s most proactive eco-tourism resorts, having won numerous awards for its conservation-minded tourism. From day one, the resort’s mission was to create a sustainable business model that would combine a superior guest experience with a source of funding to establish and maintain an environmentally and culturally sound conservation program. This resulted in the creation of the Wakatobi Collaborative Reef Conservation Program, which is now one of the world’s largest privately-funded marine protected areas.
