Vessel information
Under the management of Extra Divers, the stylish Oman Explorer has been sailing to the Sultanate's best diving areas since 2011. This popular 34-metre liveaboard was completely renovated in 2015 and offers space for 22 divers in 11 comfortable cabins, comprising ten double staterooms and one sumptuous master suite. All cabins are equipped with an ensuite bathroom and air-conditioning. The international team consists of around ten crew members and one or two dive guides. The primary language spoken on board is English.
This vessel’s seven-night tours head either north to the Dimaniyat Islands or south to the Hallaniyat Islands, depending on the season. Additional ten-night best of Oman tours are offered twice a year as the vessel sails between these two destinations. Divers can expect to see large groupers, leopard sharks, stingrays, and barracuda, along with colourful macro life such as nudibranchs and seahorses. Divers in the right place at the right time can also spot passing whale sharks and humpback whales.
Onboard Oman Explorer
Whilst on board the Oman Explorer, guests will be kept well fed with tasty buffet meals served up in the air-conditioned dining area on the main deck. Refreshing beverages and snacks are also included in the price, while beer and wine are available for an additional fee. The dining area adjoins this vessel’s indoor salon which is furnished with inviting sofas and opens up onto an additional outdoor lounge at the stern. Up stairs, the huge sundeck offers plenty of space in both the sun and shade and an array of comfortable cushioned seating.
Diving from Oman Explorer
Oman Explorer’s dive deck offers lots of space for each guest and sufficient storage space for equipment.
