Guests can choose to dine overlooking the beach or on the sand under the palm trees. The diving at Ocean Vida is managed by its partner PADI 5-Star resort, Sea Explorers. This well-established team has over 30 years of experience diving the Philippines and takes pride in giving each guest an incredible dive holiday experience. Scuba students can take a full range of scuba courses here, conducted by patient and professional instructors in two air-conditioned classrooms. The resort also boasts two newly renovated Bangka boats, perfectly maintained rental gear, facilities for personal equipment, and nitrox for qualified guests. Up to four dives are offered each day, with small groups divided by skill and comfort level.
Malapascua found fame for its regular sightings of thresher sharks, and Sea Explorers offers daily sunrise dives with a good chance of spotting these elusive creatures. All-day adventures at Gato Island are also available, with fascinating macro wildlife, caverns, caves and swim-throughs, as well as sharks.
