Located in the southerly atoll of Dhaalu - a scenic 45-minute seaplane transfer from Male - Niyama takes the Maldivian resort island experience to new heights. Choose from one of 134 villas and pavilions, including an exclusive private playground of five overwater villas known as The Crescent which can accommodate up to 22 guests. Beachfront dining is also available at Dune, as well as African and Latin American fusion amidst blazing fires at Tribal, and Asian cuisine amongst the canopy at Nest. When it comes to drinks, the casual chic Epicure eatery boasts a selection of 18 teas and 260 wine labels, while the rooftop bar, Fahrenheit, is a great place to admire the view with a cocktail hand.

You’ll find several amazing dive sites located right on the doorstep here, including Maaenboodhoo Corner, Vanee Corner, Kuda Thila, and Hammerhead Point. Whilst exploring these sites, get ready to encounter marine life of all varieties, from turtles to tuna, nudibranchs to manta rays, and a range of shark species such as grey reef sharks, and more.
Niyama’s watersports centre, Float, comes equipped with top quality rental equipment, excellent safety systems, large comfortable boats, and an enthusiastic and experienced multilingual dive team. If you are already a certified diver, simply let the team know if there is anything you need to make your diving experience as enjoyable as it can possibly be, or if you’d like to try diving for the first time, simply drop by and speak to the dive instructors - they will explain just how easy it is.
Guests interested in surfing will find a powerful and sometimes hollow left hander just off the edge of Niyama’s Play Island, as well as a rippable and hollow right hander located five minutes away by boat. Listen to the informative and fun marine biology presentation and get advice on applying your new knowledge while snorkelling, diving, or searching for dolphins and turtles on a private speedboat trip. Finally, personalise your own coral fragments and snorkel to the coral nursery to name and cultivate your newly adopted living habitat. Make your mark by having your own photo in our nursery and receive a certificate, with follow up images provided up to a year after adoption.
