Mimpi Resort is dedicated to sustainable tourism in Northern Bali with operations that are designed to coexist with the area’s incredible environment. The resort boasts a two-acre organic garden full of homegrown produce. The resort’s mineral-rich water is collected and routed to supply the gardens through a series of natural water treatment techniques. Other on-site efforts include recycling, composting, and reducing the use of disposable plastic products.
Since its creation, Mimpi Resort has successfully persuaded the local fishing community to abandon cyanide fishing and taught sustainable alternative practices, which allowed fishing to continue as the main source of livelihood for many local people. They have also collaborated with locals to grow and harvest seaweed, creating a new local industry and maintaining a healthy aquatic environment.
