Diving from Meliá Cozumel
Diving at Meliá Cozumel is overseen by Pro Dive International, a PADI 5-Star dive operator and career development centre. Founded in 2003, Pro Dive International is renowned for its high standards of excellence, quality, and safety. At Meliá Cozumel, the dive centre is located on the resort’s private beach and is staffed by a qualified multilingual team and instructors. A full range of scuba certification courses can be undertaken here, catering to guests of all kinds, and nitrox is free for certified divers.
This dive centre operates up to five local dives each day, including night dives. Guests are transferred to the boat at Allegro Cozumel, where several boats are on hand to ferry guests to local sites, most of which lie within a short 15-minute trip from the jetty. Extended excursions can also be organised, travelling up and down the coast to experience the likes of the Playa del Carmen’s bull sharks, Yucatan’s famous cenotes, the whale sharks of Isla Contoy, and more. Rental gear is available on site, comprising 20 individual sets produced by top-quality brands such as ScubaPro and Cressi.
