Alongside a welcoming and well-experienced crew, Lucy delivers unparalleled luxury through a series of decadent details, including a state-of-the-art cinema lounge, fine dining, and more. Of course, it’s not just what’s offered on the surface that counts. Operated by Siyyan dive centre, this liveaboard ensures exceptional underwater experiences for all thanks to its dedicated camera facilities, nitrox, and commitment to marine conservation.
Launched in 2015 and refurbished in 2018, Lucy embarks on week-long itineraries in the remote and under-explored African nation of Djibouti. The vessel allows guests to discover some of the Gulf of Aden’s most unique dive destinations with absolute ease, including the Gulf of Tadjoura and Goubet Al Kharab, and is currently the only liveaboard organising trip to the Seven Brothers Islands. These remarkable locations are home to some of the world’s most phenomenal ocean experiences including swimming with whale sharks and gliding through the crack between two continental plates.

Aqualung equipment rental and selected scuba courses can be booked in advance, and nitrox is available for an additional charge.
Top tips
- Become a whale shark defender by participating in eco research trips and learn specialist knowledge from the onboard marine biologist.
- An underwater crack in the Gulf of Goubet allows divers to glide between two tectonic plates, touching two continents at the same time.
