Vessel information
Operating out of the Walindi Plantation Resort, FeBrina and the vessel’s expert skipper have been exploring Papua New Guinea’s diverse waters since 1991. While older than the resort’s other liveaboard, this vessel is a stable and extremely seaworthy boat, and is well designed to cater for serious divers and photographers who want the full Papua New Guinea dive experience. This 22-metre boutique monohull vessel accommodates up to 10 guests in seven cabins, four of which are suited to single travellers. All cabins have ensuite facilities and individual air-conditioning.
FeBrina operates several different itineraries throughout the year, each designed to suit the weather patterns of a particular season. And, the quality diving experience offered by this boat is evidenced by the high number of repeat clientele. Exploring the three most popular diving areas of Kimbe Bay, Witu Islands and Fathers Reefs, the vessel’s signature itinerary operates from April through June and September through November. Mid-year itineraries run from June through August and visit just two of the above dive destinations, while only Witu Islands itineraries are offered in November and December.
Onboard FeBrina
Guest cabins on board FeBrina are a combination of small singles, large singles, twin share cabins, and a double cabin in the bow. All cabins have ensuite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. On the main deck, FeBrina features a cosy saloon space equipped with comfortable bench-style seating, tables, and a bar – making it suitable for both relaxing and dining. An outdoor table located between the lounge and the dive deck is also available for alfresco entertainment. Buffet spreads are provided for breakfast and lunch while dinner is an a la carte affair.
Diving from FeBrina
Diving is made easy on board FeBrina, thanks to the experienced crew who are on hand to assist with dive gear both entering and exiting the water. Dual staircases and a water level duckboard at the back of the boat means entry and exit is an absolute breeze, while a purpose fitted tender can also be used during some dives. FeBrina usually offers four or five dives a day, consisting of three morning dives, an afternoon dive, and a night dive. This liveaboard also features camera preparation areas on the dive deck and nitrox fills are available at an additional charge.
