Djambo Bonaire is an adults-only resort on the island’s west coast, just a short walk from the Caribbean Sea, as well as the shops and restaurants of Kralendijk. While this resort doesn’t have it’s own dive centre, it’s got everything you need to streamline your underwater adventures, including drive-up rinsing areas, lockable storage, and convenient wheelbarrows for shifting heavy gear. And in any case, Djambo works closely with several local dive centres, including Dive Friends Bonaire, AB Dive and VIP Diving to help guests create the Bonaire diving holiday of their dreams.

Delfins’ partner dive centre, Dive Friends Bonaire, is located on the resort’s private stretch of waterfront and comes equipped with the largest scuba drive-through on the island. Guests can simply drive in to exchange tanks, rinse gear, and get tips about some of the best Southern dive sites. And, Delfins make this as easy as possible with a selection of quality rental cars, including Suzuki Jimnys and classic Daffs - ideal for dive gear and other recreational equipment. Alongside scuba tuition, high-tech equipment, and expert advice, this PADI 5-Star IDC dive centre also features a fully-equipped retail store offering you anything from sunscreen and flip flops to masks and fins.

The west coast on Bonaire is home to some of the easiest diving and snorkelling, and Delfins’ local reef here is home to the well-known Lighthouse Point dive site. Visitors can also arrange two-tank boat dives through Dive Friends Bonaire, with their nearby Port Bonaire location being the closest pick-up point. Dive Friends Bonaire also offers a photography centre at their central Gooddive premises, where visitors can shop or rent specialised photography equipment, hire a professional, take part in customised courses, and more.

Diving with Dive Friends Bonaire

Guests at Djambo Bonaire can choose to dive with local dive operators including Dive Friends, AB Diving and VIP Diving. Whichever company they dive with, guests can rent tanks and explore the island independently, take advantage of a dive package, or opt for a bit of added guidance from one of the island’s friendly divemasters. Other exciting offerings include a full range of courses from PADI and NAUI and speciality training is also offered, including lionfish hunting, ultraviolet night diving, and underwater scooters. Dive partners also offer air-conditioned classrooms, dedicated training pools, and expert international teams to help each student reach their full potential.

All facilities for cleaning and safe storage are available at Djambo Donaire, including sinks with fresh fresh water in the parking lot. What could be easier than returning from a dive and simply driving your car right up to the rinsing area? Located close to the apartments, guests will also find a locker where diving equipment can be stored to dry safely. And with the help of Djambo’s free-to-use yellow wheelbarrows, you’ll never have to struggle with your gear.
