About Catalonia Playa Maroma
About Catalonia Playa Maroma
Catalonia Playa Maroma occupies a privileged point on the Caribbean coast, and is named after the magnificent beach known as Playa de Punta Maroma, one of the most scenic stretches of sand in the region. This area’s outstanding beauty doesn’t end at the beach, thanks to lush mangrove forests and perfectly manicured gardens which encircle the property. Catalonia Playa Maroma’s surroundings also make it ideal for travellers wishing to combine relaxation and recreation. On any given day, guests can lounge on a white sandy beach washed by turquoise waters, discover fascinating culture and stunning nature, or scuba dive amongst vibrant reefs and serene cenotes.
The resort employs aspects of typical Mexican design throughout, such as thatched palapa roofs, creating a charming atmosphere with an essence of authenticity. When it comes to accommodation, Catalonia Playa Maroma rooms are spread throughout six beautiful buildings comprising two or three floors. Equipped with private balconies or terraces, these accommodations allow guests to enjoy spectacular scenic views, while soft tropical colours add a special touch to the rooms and ensure the vibrant atmosphere of Mexico’s Caribbean coast never fades.
Explore the resort
This exceptional resort entices guests with a wide array of culinary offerings, including wood-fire pizza, avant-garde tapas, authentic Mexican meals at Adelita, and delicious Italian favourites at Toscana. Sushi and teppanyaki cooking shows can also be found at the Japanese restaurant, Ayami. Sweet snacks are served up at the creperie, while the beachfront Bar Palapa, swim-up Margaritas Bar, and Maloo mocktail bar ensure you’re never far from a refreshing beverage. And, once the sun sets and the landscape fades into darkness, this resort's Caribbean rhythm comes alive, offering a choice between a chilled-out backing track or dancing the night away in the discotheque.
Complete your relaxing getaway with a range of services at Catalonia Playa Maroma’s onsite spa. Options include massages, facials, and beauty treatments, as well as the use of saunas, steam rooms, and Jacuzzis. Guests also have access to a large pool with dedicated areas for activities, children, and relaxation, as well as a deeper area for diving.
