Archipel I is an updated mid-range catamaran offering fascinating naturalist itineraries in the Galapagos. Originally built in 2005, this vessel was remodelled in 2021, ensuring all areas feel modern and comfortable. One of the pioneering vessels in the Galapagos, Archipel I’s stable double hulls ensure maximum comfort in this remote and rugged region, while wide decks and large communal areas facilitate relaxation and social interaction.
At 27-metres in length, Archipel I accommodates a maximum of 16 guests, promising an intimate and profound experience with plenty of personal attention. During their trip, guests will get a restful night’s sleep in one of eight understated cabins, complete with private amenities and air conditioning. Rooms are all located above the waterline and feature multiple windows for idyllic ocean views.
Archipel I operates two different routes across the Galapagos Archipelago. Each route can be easily broken down into versatile lengths of four, five, or eight days at sea, while the two full itineraries can also be combined into an impressive two-week adventure. The vessel’s naturalist cruise itineraries make optimal use of time, combining evening or nocturnal displacements with at least two excursions per full day.
Onboard Archipel I
In the centre of Archipel I’s main deck, guests will find a charming and colourful dining area furnished with two tables and a well-stocked bar. Meals generally feature a combination of international and Ecuadorian dishes and are served buffet-style in the dining room on the main deck. Water and freshly-made fruit juices accompany every meal, while alcoholic beverages and sodas are available at an additional cost. The vessel’s lounge area is also located here, and comes equipped with comfortable seating, a TV, and a library of books and DVDs. On the upper level, guests will find a sweeping sun deck furnished with alfresco dining facilities, inviting cushioned sofas, and sun loungers.
