Aqua Tiki II is a comfortable modern catamaran offering unique and adventurous voyages in French Polynesia. Trips range from seven-days to more than two weeks on the water, focussing on the remote Tuamotu and Marquesas island – including the only circular itinerary around Favarava’s famous shark-filled dive sites. Voyages include multiple dives a day in some of the world’s most remote and idyllic locations, along with enough additional activities to satisfy non-diving companions. And, with just eight guests on board, diligently cared for by a tight team of hospitality staff and crew, these trips are about as exciting and exclusive as it gets.

Vessel
Vessel information
Launched in 2011, Aqua Tiki II is an 18-metre catamaran operated by Aquapolynésie – the pioneer of Polynesian diving cruises. The vessel is fully-crewed by a team of three staff members, comprising a skipper, a host, and a diving instructor. To maximise the chances of encounters with French Polynesia's famous marine life, and to create the perfect atmosphere on board, guest numbers are limited to a maximum of just eight people.
Aqua Tiki II offers a range of itineraries which last anywhere between one week and 18-nights at sea. Trips focus on the Tuamotu Archipelago, along with occasional forays into the Marquesas Islands. Crossings between atolls are typically done every two days, ensuring plenty of time for guests to enjoy both diving and excursions in every destination.
Established in 1996, Aquapolynésie has built a strong reputation as a specialist in French Polynesian diving cruises. This pioneering operator is still the only one to offer circuits centred on Fakarava Atoll. And, while this complicates logistics a little, it is the only way to experience the most idyllic destinations and sought-after dive spots.
Onboard Aqua Tiki II
The comfort on board this vessel is worthy of a hotel, featuring a sizable square salon equipped with comfortable seating, a cocktail bar, and an American-style kitchen. In this area, guests will also find TV and video entertainment, as well as a small library stocked with interesting books and games to animate your evenings. Meals consist of succulent local recipes and are served beneath the canopy above deck. Two inviting trampolines are found at the bow of the boat, providing the perfect spot to relax.
Diving from Aqua Tiki II
Itineraries aboard this vessel include a wide range of activities, from swimming, snorkelling and sun bathing, to kayaking, water skiing and spearfishing. Excursions to local villages and attractions will also be arranged. Depending on weather conditions and currents, up to two dives are available every day, except on days of arrival and departure. Full SCUBAPRO dive equipment is available to hire free of charge and nitrox 50% can be provided for an additional cost. Night dives are not planned but can be organised at times.
Top tips
- Underwater lights are not provided with the rental equipment, as night dives are rarely scheduled.
- During favourable sailing conditions, it is possible to take part in big game fishing.
