Angaga Island Resort is located in the heart of South Ari Atoll, and boats white sandy beaches which wrap around the island, as well as a magnificent house reef just a few metres beyond. Situated some 85-kilometres from Male’s international airport, Angaga can be reached with a short 25 minute seaplane journey, or a 20 minute domestic flight to Maamigili followed by a 25-minute speedboat ride to the resort. Once on the island, guests will settle into their chosen accommodation, with the option of a detached Maldivian thatched beach bungalow or an iconic overwater villa perched above the Indian Ocean.
The island offers guests the ultimate blend of barefoot luxury and adventurous exploration, delivering the perfect island holiday experience with facilities fit for couples and families alike. Located beside one of the water bungalow jetties, Angaga’s award-winning dive centre is run by the experienced SUB AQUA. One of the first dive centre operators in the Maldives, SUB AQUA has been providing high-quality, professional services to guests since its inception in 1972 and is staffed by German and English speaking instructors who are always happy to help. Full equipment rental is available from the dive centre, including computers and torches, as well as a digital underwater camera rental service. Nitrox fills are also free for suitably qualified guests.
From Angaga Island Resort, guests can explore more than 30 fantastic dive sites, including well-known spots such as Angaga Thila and Kuda Rah Thila.
