Vessel

Vessel information

The 40-metre Andromeda is a superb five-star liveaboard designed with divers’ needs in mind. The vessel’s impressive range covers everywhere from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula to Sudan’s southern border, exploring an incredible variety of diving, and offering plenty of opportunity for adventure. And onboard, the well-travelled, cohesive crew, speak a variety of languages and ensure each guest gets the most out of their trip.

The Andromeda and its partner vessel Cassiopeia are the backbone of Red Sea Boat Holidays’ operations, delivering a competitive service with a quality guarantee. Formed from a deep-rooted love for the Red Sea - both Egypt and Sudan - as well as respect for the local people, Red Sea Boat Holidays has assembled a dedicated team with a shared commitment to providing quality and professional service throughout their operations.

Onboard Andromeda

At 40 metres in length, this vessel accommodates up to 26 guests in 13 comfortable cabins featuring air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms with warm water. Between dives, Andromeda’s onboard chefs provide a delightful menu of roasted meats, fish, salads, soups, and sides, not to mention some sensational sweets for dessert. Once the diving is done for the day, the spacious European-style salon comes equipped with a full entertainment system and comfy seating. But Andromeda’s shisha room is the heart of evening entertainment, where guests can swap stories over tea or amidst delicious swirling smoke – a true taste of the east. Sun-seekers will love this vessel’s sweeping sun deck, complete with comfy curving benches, tables, and loungers.

Diving from Andromeda

Andromeda’s large dive deck and dive platform were specially designed to accommodate groups entering and exiting the two zodiacs – providing plenty of space to prepare for the next dive. Hand-held showers allow guests to rinse-off post-dive while an on-deck bathroom delivers maximum convenience. Camera rinse tanks and storage space are provided, as well as nitrox blends of up to 32%. Rental equipment can be arranged but is not kept onboard, meaning guests should book gear hire well in advance.

Top tips

  • Pack a few layers for hot sunny days and cold breezy nights at sea.
  • Book rental gear well in advance, as the equipment is not kept on board.
  • Do your Advanced Open Water certification in advance to take advantage of some of the more adventurous dive sites.
