Allegro Playacar occupies a sought-after beachfront position on the outskirts of Playa del Carmen, and around a 40-minute drive south of Cancun. Diving from Allegro Playacar
Diving at Allegro Playacar is overseen by Pro Dive International, a PADI 5-Star dive operator and career development centre. Founded in 2003, Pro Dive International is renowned for its high standards of excellence, quality, and safety. At Allegro Playacar, the dive centre is located opposite the main pool, close to the private beach, and is staffed by a qualified multilingual team and instructors. A full range of scuba certification courses can be undertaken here, catering to guests of all kinds – from those wishing to take their first breaths underwater, to recreational divers looking to turn pro or seasoned adventurers seeking a new challenge such as cave diving.
This dive centre operates up to five local dives each day, including night dives. Dive boats are accessed from the neighbouring resort of Royal Hideaway Playacar, just a minute’s stroll along the beach. These boats ferry guests to a variety of sites, most of which lie within a short, 15-minute trip from the beach. Extended excursions can also be organised, travelling up and down the coast to experience the likes of Yucatan’s famous cenotes, Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, and more. Rental gear is available on site, comprising 40 individual sets produced by top-quality brands such as ScubaPro and Cressi. Additional cave diving equipment can also be rented and nitrox is free for certified guests.
