Vessel information
Scubaspa Yang is a unique concept that is redefining luxury liveaboards. As a floating luxury resort, the 50-metre Scubaspa Yang skilfully combines scuba diving with an opulent spa getaway and is perfectly tailored to divers with non-diving partners. 19 suites and cabins accommodate 40 guests, and 30 on board staff members include expert spa therapists, a yoga master, passionate chefs, and a guest services manager. You’ll love every detail, from plush air conditioned lounges and exquisite cuisine and drinks, to the gym, jacuzzi and sensuous spa that complete the picture. And in the five star floating dive centre, divers will appreciate the outstanding multilingual, experienced dive team who are ready to showcase the best reef, shark and manta ray action in the Maldives.
The award-winning Scubaspa and its two luxury yachts provide a unique liveaboard experience, and are the only vessels in the Maldives to be awarded PADI 5 Star Dive Resort status. Perfectly designed with modernity, comfort and uncompromising luxury in mind, the two opulent boats cater to divers and non-divers alike, and feature luxurious suites, fine dining, serene lounging spaces, jacuzzis, opulent spas and world-class on-board dive centres. Each liveaboard is a floating resort, and offers the ultimate diving and spa getaway for 4 or 7 nights while cruising around the Maldives’ best dive sites and idyllic islands. Add the stunning reefs and shark and manta-filled channels to the delightful menu of spa packages, land excursions and enticing water activities, and you’ve got an unrivalled luxury Maldives liveaboard experience.
Onboard the Scubaspa Yang
Scubaspa Yang liveaboard has been expertly designed to cater to divers travelling with a non-diving partner. Guests are accommodated in 10 cabins and nine suites with queen, king or twin bed combinations, air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and beautiful interiors with panoramic sea views. Across four elegant decks are a gym, jacuzzi, and a spacious open-air deck where guests sip sunset cocktails, dine under the stars and lounge in the open-air cinema for evening entertainment. And on the stunning sun deck, guests can work on their tan on the inviting sun loungers. The largest of its kind in the Maldives, the serene spa consists of six treatment rooms, including one for couples’ therapies, a shaded spa lounge and a secluded deck for open-air massages, meditation and yoga led by the yoga master.
Fine dining spaces provide panoramic sunrise and sunset views over the Indian Ocean, while internationally-qualified chefs prepare three buffet-style meals daily, as well as an a la carte menu complete with live cooking stations, and served in the spacious al fresco restaurant. All flavours are expertly combined with European and Mediterranean favourites, complemented by a carefully curated global selection of wines and champagnes. Guests can select convenient packages which include daily morning yoga, snorkeling, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and a secluded beach BBQ. And for something extra special, tailored special occasions are available on-board, including birthdays, engagements, anniversaries and even weddings.
Diving from Scubaspa Yang
To ensure the main vessel remains undisturbed, all diving takes place on the yacht’s accompanying dive boat that serves as a floating dive centre. The 20 metre-long dive boat provides seating areas, multiple entry points, a stern platform and on-board toilet facilities. Top quality full rental equipment and nitrox are also available, and a team of expert multilingual dive instructors are on hand to teach PADI dive courses. You’ll be led by seasoned guides to the best dive sites across the Maldives, including healthy reefs with abundant tropical fish and macro critters, and energetic channels where sharks and manta rays congregate in the currents. Awesome night and deep dives are also on offer to divers with an advanced open water certification.
