Day 2 – Central Komodo (4 Dives)
Central Komodo offers a mix of colourful hard-coral slopes, manta cleaning stations, and calm bays ideal for macro photography. Currents here can be moderate, bringing excellent visibility and large numbers of reef fish. It’s a very diverse area: from classic drift dives over acres of coral gardens to calm sandy bottoms. In the afternoon we will visit the famous Pink Beach.
Example dive sites: Tatawa Besar, Siaba Kecil, Manta Point, and Pink Beach (night).
Day 3 – South Komodo (3 dives) - Subject to weather conditions
Cooler waters in the south attract an impressive concentration of mantas and pelagic life. Temperatures often drop to 22–24°C, increasing fish density and bringing in large schools around the pinnacles. After the dives, the boat anchors near Padar Island for the famous late-afternoon hike to one of Indonesia’s most iconic viewpoints.
Example dive sites: Manta Alley x 2, Three Sisters
Day 4 – Central Komodo (4 dives)
This day in central Komodo blends action-packed reefs with slower, detail-focused dives. Batu Bolong brings its classic fish action, while nearby bays offer colourful corals and interesting critters.
Example dive sites: Batu Bolong, Tatawa Kecil, Police Corner, and Wainilu (night).
Day 5 – North Komodo (3 Dives)
Gili Lawa Laut is one of Komodo’s high-adrenaline areas, known for strong currents and dense marine life. Expect reef sharks, giant trevallies, schooling surgeonfish and the occasional dolphin or whale shark. Reef hooks are commonly used at the main sites. At sunset time, we’ll do a trek to the viewpoint of Gili Lawa Island
Example dive sites: Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, The Cauldron, Gili Lawa Darat
Day 6 – North + Central Komodo (4 Dives)
After the morning dives in the north, we return to central Komodo; this day combines iconic high-energy sites with more relaxed coral gardens. From the legendary Batu Bolong to calm bays full of critters, it’s a varied and rewarding day with excellent visibility and large numbers of reef fish.
Example dive sites: Crystal Rock, Golden Passage, Batu Bolong, and Siaba Besar.
Day 7 – Central Komodo (2 dives)
Two final morning dives offer beautiful reefs and one last chance to spot mantas. After diving, guests can join an optional short trek to see the Komodo dragons in Pulau Rinca and enjoy a sunset evening on the beach.
Example dive sites: Mawan, Pengah Kecil
