Roatan sits at the heart of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, where wall dives plunge from the coral crest into the abyss alongside pristine shallow gardens. Cayos Cochinos – a protected archipelago accessible Roatan Aggressor Page 16 of 18 Know Before You Go primarily by liveaboard – offers some of the most pristine reef ecosystems in the Caribbean. Utila's seamounts attract pelagic species.
Typical marine life encounters include Caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, spotted eagle rays, green and hawksbill sea turtles, moray eels, large grouper, and abundant reef fish. The area is also excellent for macro life and critter spotting along the walls and coral structures.
Diving begins Sunday morning and ends Friday around noon. A 7-night trip on this itinerary typically features 24–27 dives. Up to 5 dives per day are offered, including night dives. Throughout the week, there will also be opportunities to go ashore for swimming, snorkelling, and beach exploring.
Day 7:
After a full week of scuba diving, the Roatan Aggressor liveaboard returns back to the dock located at Roatan Yacht Club Friday afternoon after lunch (2 dives offered Friday). A sunset cocktail party will be hosted on the sundeck with dinner ashore. This is the only meal not included in the charter. Guests may dine at one of the Roatan Yacht Club restaurants.
