Raja Ampat and Misool

Day 1: Embarkation and overnight cruise South
After a short transfer in the morning to the harbour from Sorong Airport or your hotel, you will be welcomed onboard the KLM Mari liveaboard. A boat and tour briefing will follow, then you will set up your scuba gear and check in to your cabin. Lunch, dinner and snacks such as fruit, candy bars or ice-cream will be served as Mari cruises out to Pulau Matan for a test dive before continuing on south to Misool. Variety and fresh produce are the basis of our menu, and a fusion of Asian and International cuisine, as well local specialities are served in the spacious outside dining area with a 270 view of the beautiful surroundings.

First Dives (Misool - Daram Area):
Kick off your Raja Ampat adventure with colorful soft corals, schooling fish, and superb macro opportunities. A perfect warm-up showcasing Misool’s incredible diversity.

Day 2: Misool Icons and Kalig Island
Expect dramatic reef formations, reef sharks cruising by, and dense fish life. Night diving reveals flamboyant nudibranchs and nocturnal reef action.

Day 3: Wayil and Four Kings Region
A full day of iconic Misool dives featuring massive sea fans, swirling schools of fish, and pristine coral landscapes.

Day 4: Boo Windows and Northbound crossing
Dive one of Raja Ampat’s most photographed sites before beginning the scenic overnight crossing north toward Central Raja Ampat.

Day 5: Penemu and Central Raja Ampat
This day delivers classic Raja Ampat beauty: endless coral gardens, vibrant reef fish, and gentle drifts through coral-rich channels.

Day 6: Manta Encounters and Arborek Village

Spend the day with majestic manta rays before visiting Arborek Island, offering a glimpse into local Papuan village life. Night dive beneath the jetty reveals fascinating critters.

Day 7: Dampier Strait Power Diving
One of the most action-packed days of the trip. Strong currents attract massive fish biomass, sharks, and pelagic species - a dream for experienced divers.

Day 8: Signature North Raja Ampat Dives
Finish strong at two legendary dive sites known for sharks, mantas, and dense schools of fish set against stunning reef tructures.

Day 9: Disembarkation Sorong – After Breakfast
Disembark after breakfast with unforgettable memories from one of the most biodiverse marine environments on Earth. Prepare to leave the boat between 5-11 am, after a continental breakfast (or possibly lunch, depending on your post-cruise schedule). Say good-bye to your fellow guests and wish the boat crew farewell, before a complimentary transfer will take you to either Sorong Airport or your hotel.
