Highlights
- Circular route to the southern sites of St Johns
- Search for the oceanic whitetips and hammerheads
- See some of Egypt's healthiest coral reefs at St Johns
- Explore the tunnels and small caves of St Johns
- Night dives offered outside of marine parks
On arrival day, a transfer is offered from the airport to the vessel, ready for check-in at 15:00. Once on board, you will be assigned your accommodation, receive a boat briefing, and select any rental equipment. The boat will spend the night in Port Ghalib.
The fish wealth is also great in St. John's, and here you can meet the otherwise rare bumphead parrotfish. A look into the blue water can be extremely worthwhile: large fish such as sharks, barracuda, or schools of mackerel and tuna are not uncommon here. If you are lucky, you can also come across manta rays and dolphins.
Sha’ab Sataya is located in the very south of Fury Shoals; this huge natural lagoon is surrounded by a massive reef (Shaab). The glory of Sataya is its drop-offs, along with pelagic sightings and hard and soft corals. But the real stars are the huge pods of dolphins that are often found there, which is why Sataya is also called the “Dolphin House” of Hamata. Depending on the prevailing weather conditions, night dives can be completed here.
A vast chain of reefs with a variety of outstanding dive sites. Abu Galawa in the north to Sataya in the south. Have fun discovering caves, tunnels, coral gardens, plateaus, and cliffs! For example, at Abu Galawa within Fury Shoal there is a wreck called the "Tugs."
In the afternoon, the boat will enter the harbor. Your luggage will be brought from the storage to prepare all your personal things.
Check out after breakfast and before 12:00.
