The Belize Aggressor III departs from the Fort George Hotel dock at 18:00. A transfer from the Belize City International Airport to the boat is complimentary. Enjoy the dinner prepared by the onboard chef before you hit your bed.
This is a rare opportunity to dive at Glover's Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 7 protected areas in Belize. The sparkling interior lagoon is dotted with over 800 thriving patch reefs and pinnacles that rise to the surface of its turquoise waters. Because of the atoll's remoteness and protected status, many of the islands are virtually uncharted and offer spectacular diving on virgin reefs with abundant pelagic marine animals, including large sharks and rays. Currents are usually mild in this area, and therefore the safari is suitable for divers of all experience levels. Sites visited include Emerald Forest, Baking Swash Reef, West Wall, Pinnacles, Manta Wall, Southwest Caye Wall, Aquarium, Hole in the Wall, and Long Caye Wall.
On the penultimate day, only a half day of diving will be offered. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit ancient Mayan ruins or go cave tubing through the jungle at an extra cost.
Day 8:
Check-out is in the morning at 08:00, after a continental breakfast. An air-conditioned minivan will escort you to the Belize City International Airport or to the Fort George Hotel and Spa.
