The Tornado Marine Fleet has been a top choice for divers seeking luxury liveaboards in the Red Sea since 1989 The well-equipped, modern and luxurious dive vessels operate recreational and tec diving liveaboard trips with a team of carefully-selected expert crew and dive instructors that offer a full range of courses. Departing from Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada and Port Ghaleb, divers can choose from exciting itineraries across the northern and southern Red Sea that are based on required skill level. Divers can explore the iconic reefs and wrecks of the Red Sea, where diverse marine species of all sizes and colours thrive at world-famous sites such as the Brothers Islands, Elphinstone and the Thistlegorm wreck. Escorted trips and special weeks including photography, wreck, tec, freediving and mini safaris are also available, in addition to private charters.
Onboard Whirlwind
10 cosy en-suite, air conditioned cabins provide accommodation for up to 22 guests, with seven lower deck twins, four main deck twins and one upper deck single cabin. The air conditioned saloon has comfortable sofas, a well-stocked bar and large screens ideal for dive briefings and watching movies. In the dining room, guests enjoy a cafe-style table layout that creates a friendly, sociable atmosphere. Three meals per day are served buffet-style, and are prepared by expert chefs who create international and Egyptian favourites. Outdoors, there are thoughtfully designed teak decks perfect for lounging, sipping cocktails and sunbathing. Climb to the top deck and you’ll find the partially shaded sundeck which has inviting sun loungers and a sumptuous jacuzzi perfect for soaking up views of the Red Sea.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Whirlwind is her spacious dive deck equipped with a camera table, two rinse tanks, freshwater showers and plenty of room for dive gear. There’s also ample room for rebreathers, twinsets and photography gear. Top quality rental equipment is available, and certified divers can enjoy nitrox. Plus, rebreather divers can be accommodated with prior notice, including tec gear rental, gas filling and private technical diving guides. There’s also a haskel pump on the dive deck for trimix and high O2 blends. Divers enjoy three to four dives per day to the best dive sites in the Red Sea with knowledgeable guides and instructors that have years of experience in these waters. - March to May and September to November are considered to be the best times to dive in the Red Sea due to ideal weather and ocean conditions. But be aware that dive sites will be more crowded during these months.
