Nine cabins located on the lower deck accommodate 16 divers and include a double bed with single bunk, private toilet and hot water shower. All cabins have individually controlled air-con, wardrobe, bookshelf, chair, table and additional fan. Ecological shampoo and shower gel are provided for guest’s convenience. Blue Shark One’s three decks incorporate plenty of space, beanbags, sunbeds and shaded areas to ensure a comfortable and relaxing environment. A variety of European, Asian and Maldivian meals are served buffet-style in the salon, with soft drinks, fresh juices and alcohol available at an additional charge. Please let the crew know of any dietary requirements before arrival.
Diving with Eco Blue
Blue Shark One’s spacious dive deck leaves plenty of room for dive setup and breakdown. Individual gearboxes and separate rinse bins for cameras make it easy to take care of all your equipment. Outdoor showers and plenty of room in the sun will help you warm up fast after exiting the water. And, this vessel’s dive dhoni allows guests to hit the waves right above some of the Maldives’ best dive sites, with no long surface swims. Rental equipment is available on request.
Eco Pro Divers offers a selection of bespoke multi-day liveaboard trips around the Maldives, all carefully customised to meet the needs of discerning divers looking for something special. Trips to the north of the Maldives visit North Malé, Baa, Raa, Lhaviyani and North Ari, taking in Hanifaru Bay, which is one of the best places in the Maldives to snorkel with manta rays and whale sharks. Journeys to the central region focus on North and South Malé atolls, Vaavu and the north and south of Ari Atoll, offering spectacular drift dives and world-famous night-diving. Best of the Maldives trips, visiting the central atolls and further north, allow visitors to experience all the first-class dives sites this region has to offer. Other journeys include Manta Trust and Whale Shark expeditions.
- Blue Shark One offers a discounted rate on charters holding 16 to 18 guests.
- During summer months, this liveaboard transforms into a charter for surfing trips around the atolls. These trips follow the wind, swell, and waves, rather than sticking to a set schedule.
- If you're diving in the northern atolls, don't forget to bring a snorkel along. You'll want it for your visit to Hanifaru Bay!
- It is illegal to import alcohol into the Maldives. If you're planning to drink onboard, you'll need to make your purchase in the airport duty-free shop or enjoy the selection served in the Blue Shark One bar.
